A bowl designed for mindful rituals
In Japan, the traditional matcha bowl is known as a Chawan β a vessel created especially for preparing and savoring powdered green tea.
Each Chawan in the Cherries collection is handcrafted in my workshop in Alicante, using durable stoneware, hand-painted engobes, and finished with food-safe, lead-free glazes. Its wide shape is perfect for whisking matcha, while the cherry pattern brings a playful Mediterranean touch to an ancient ritual.
Because every piece is painted and finished by hand, no two are ever identical. Subtle variations in color and brushstroke make your bowl truly one of a kind.
β¨ Note: This batch includes an experimental spout design. Some bowls pour perfectly, while others are a little quirky. They remain fully functional, and are offered at a special reduced price.
β¨ More than just tableware, this Chawan invites you to pause, breathe, and turn your tea into a daily ritual.
Capacity: approx. 200-220 ml
Microwave and dishwasher safe. Still, because each piece is handmade and unique, I recommend gentle hand-washing β a little extra care for something crafted with love.
